Logistics Analyst

We are looking for a passionate Logistics Analyst. The successful candidate will turn raw data into information, information into beneficial information and insights, and insight into business improvement and decisions.

The ideal intern will have in-depth knowledge of informational systems, data collection, and data presentation. This role will work closely with the team to generate, compile, control, and analyze data across numerous different business functions.

The Fresh Freight team utilizes several systems for data pooling and drawing. From the company TMS to FreightWaves industry standard SONAR system.

  • Help develop reports and analysis of reports
  • Define and direct data integrity and normalization
  • Provide technical expertise in data mining, structures, and cleansing
  • An opportunity to apply college knowledge to real-world business scenarios

Night Shift Logistics Coordinator

At Fresh Freight, our employees are our greatest asset. Our Logistics Coordinators are responsible for creating, scheduling, monitoring, and system maintenance of all shipments nationwide. Coordinators work closely with drivers, customers, shippers, and receivers to ensure time sensitive shipments are executed on-time. This role is a night shift position which enables our team to provide extended support for our customers and partners.

Our Coordinators are the foundation of our organization. This position provides a hands-on opportunity to learn the food shipping and transportation industry. This is a full-time position with a path for advancement within the company.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Constant communication via telephone and email
  • Work with the Account Managers to meet or exceed customer service level performance
  • Appointment scheduling to ensure pickup and delivery day/times meet the customer’s expectations
  • Shipment tracking throughout the lifecycle of the load, which includes items on the check call procedure guideline (on time, in full, at the correct temperature)
  • Update customers and the Account Manager on shipment status
  • Assist the Account Manager with data generation
  • Collaborate with the Carrier Sales Team to modify pick-up and/or delivery appointments to ensure load coverage
  • Assist the Fleet Team with pickup and delivery modifications
  • Ensure data is accurately input into our systems
  • Proactively mitigate minor problem resolution
  • Escalate major resolution opportunities to the Account Manager
  • Assist operations in a variety of tasks
  • Weekend coverage on a rotational basis

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Effective communicator with good active listening skills
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, upbeat environment
  • Ability to multi-task

Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to assist our growing accounting team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will handle a wide range of duties to support the full accounting cycle. 

Daily tasks will include: 

  • Responding to emails from vendors 
  • Compiling & organizing documentation for Accounts Payable 
  • Assist in invoicing customers through QuickBooks Online, as well as online formats 
  • Assist in posting payments made and received in QuickBooks Online 
  • Run reports and manipulate information in Excel 
  • Data entry  
  • Assists in final audit before filing 
  • Help answer phones in accounting office 

Education and Qualifications 

Bachelor degree required. 

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Familiarity with QuickBooks a bonus. 

Detail-oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
