Account Manager

The Account Manager role is responsible for identifying and developing relationships with new customers in the food shipping community. Our company was founded with an aggressive sales approach based on research, diligence, and hard work. Fresh Freight provides a unique opportunity to join a best-in-class company.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify business opportunities and generate profitable sales in both new and existing accounts to meet and exceed new business revenue goals
  • Assist in the development and implementation of sales plans that support increased sales
  • Build strategic relationships with key contacts within customer organizations to understand opportunities for creating value
  • Capitalize on value creation opportunities by working closely with the sales and operations management team to develop creative workable solutions to customer needs
  • Cross sell the company’s suite of products and services in a team environment.
  • Monitor and review customer sales activity and make strategy adjustments
  • Work corroboratively with the operational staff to ensure customers’ needs and expectations are met
  • Coordinate with inside sales efforts and provide flow of data
  • Assist in development and reporting of competitive market analysis
  • Complete administrative functions in a timely manner
  • Maintain a high level of expertise and knowledge of products and services
  • Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations

Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Food logistics background preferred
  • Minimum 2 years industry experience
  • Strong understanding of business beyond core functional expertise
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sales concepts, methods and techniques.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate and make formal presentations in meetings and training environments
  • Demonstrated skills in organization group process, problem identification and resolution at both a strategic and functional level
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills (maturity, good judgment, diplomacy and patience) and strong consulting and presentation skills
  • Cognizant of domestic regulatory compliance laws and regulations related to the supply chain and transportation industry
  • Basic understanding of business financial principles including P&L’s, budgets, payroll, financial reporting and expense control
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications

The Carrier Sales position is responsible for finding truck capacity to transport our shipments. Our Carrier Sales Managers are responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with our carrier partners. Logistics Coordinator

Logistics Coordinators are responsible for creating, scheduling, monitoring, and system maintenance of all shipments nationwide. Coordinators work closely with our internal operations team, as well as our vendors, drivers, shippers, and receivers.

Our Coordinators are the foundation of our organization. This position gives entry level opportunity to learn the food shipping and transportation industry. This is a full-time position with a path for advancement within the company. 

Daily tasks will include:

Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Specialist to assist our growing accounting team. As Accounting Specialist, you will handle a wide range of duties to support the full accounting cycle.

Daily tasks will include:

  • Responding to emails from vendors
  • Compiling & organizing documentation for Accounts Payable
  • Assist in invoicing customers through QuickBooks Online, as well as online EDI formats.
  • Assist in posting payments made and received in QuickBooks Online
  • Run reports and manipulate information in Excel
  • Data entry
  • Assists in final audit before filing
  • Help answer phones in accounting office
  • Be able to commute easily (Phoenix-based)

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree preferred, but not required
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks a bonus
  • Detail oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
